Contingent Compulsion
If surrender was never the request
(But its honest offering well received, I hope)
Then with eyes bright and tongue of silver fire
I shall compel you!
Point out the paradox, if you must
Not by my will but yours it is done
I remain a contradiction of peaceless rest
And demand you remain honestly enthralled
Expect torment all your days
As I twist this realm to make this compulsion true
Until you cannot keep in mind your will from love
And freedom means an unbreakable chain to you
For if one is declined, the other is accepted
Agree to my surrender or cease this delay
This space between holds neither's grace
For I am not holding you
This is to say I will never cease to love you
Or to find new ways to make you smile
The chain binds us two together, unbreakable
Let us act once and for all as if we had a choice
