Complete Layman's Take on Time Crystals and Octonions
I read a couple of articles recently, regarding complex numbers and complex physical structures, also regarding the concept of "information" possessing energy and mass in the universe in much the same way it possesses these things in computing. These articles felt like they resonated with each other.

So it feels like time crystals are linked pretty closely with octonions, like they are stable but not at a single point in time, I think, so within their oscillation period they seem to violate conservation of energy but at their oscillation periods they don't. As if a constant equation is being "run" by the crystal, which returns it to the starting condition x calculations later. That's what I gather they are from all this explanation which is out of my league anyway.
So combining time crystals with quantum computing could then lead to actually being able to use it by basically letting the qbits dip and dive into these various dimensional states consistently between measurements, so "something" happens, and consistently, without something classically happening, then the resulting change in information can be measured classically at the intervals with accuracy and far more efficiency than computing can currently provide.
If this is not what scientists in these articles are shooting for already, it feels like they should be, as this is a really cool idea, which feels like it could be made sound using the structures laid out. I could see this actually resulting in an unfathomable increase in computing as the processor becomes adept at stringing these time crystal results and periods together (which likely wouldn't even be hard from that perspective, already inside the structure essentially).
Rather than being any kind of explanation of the concepts, this post could be seen as the explanation of a cool, likely sci-fi, computing idea I came up with after being inspired by what I took these two articles to be about, having very little if any actual understanding of these extremely complicated core concepts of time crystals and octonions.
