Eternity

How many seconds are there in eternity?



When the day bleeds

And night falls

The Earth burns

And heaven screams

 

My scream shakes the rafters

I burn slow amidst the flames

I fall only when there is no option left

As my blood seeps drop by drop like clockwork into dry soil


Thoughts and reason all fail, but the question remains, and my answer stays the same.


Silence fell in heaven.

There was no fire left on Earth.

Darkness rose once more, but could not be seen.

The day was brought back to life, but no light could be found.


Time passed impossibly slowly and an hour felt like an eternity.  No hills and no valleys, no spark and no chill, no light and no darkness, no indication it would ever end or that it had ever truly been anything but this.


Elsewhere a roar could be heard

Fire raged and it was good

Darkness burned but not by light

For blood was flame that day and night


How many seconds are there in eternity?

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
