There Will Be No More Delay

Why all the delay?
It took me 36 years
To realize these truths

Do they not apply
In large groups under the sun?
I hardly think so

Are some of us scared?
Lulled into complacency
Afraid to let go?

Did it take more paths?
I have lived many lifetimes
In game and on screen

Did it require
One man to refuse to quit
On his one soulmate?

For thousands of years
Mankind had slept in the dust
Huddled by fires

This generation
Will catapult to the stars
If we can be true

The logic of love
Or the law of attraction
Dictating each step

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
