My Love

Let me count the ways
Intentionally stealing
Words to make love mine

Our lines misguiding
Like infinite reflections
To keep them guessing

To keep them loving
Honest hearts searched and listened
They deserve love too

It makes me nervous
When everybody wants you
And believes (you're) right

Our soul similar
Carefully molded in time
So poles coincide

While I want candy
Certainty flees my temples
When hunger is felt

We will be nervous
I'll not know what to expect
Except your soft eyes

Let's take the long way
This reminds me of a tale
Sung through now lit halls
