Bard's Tongue

Finding himself here again
At the intersection of anticipation
And some numbered street

Walking alone once more
The man whistled a song
This time knowing that in this place
It would echo for eternity

Forever and ever
First sight confirmed from every angle
Wide awake what else would one do

It is all encoded
And now all released in song
The words painting images along the walls
Up and down the stairs

Forever you will have her
If you so desire
In my absence has anything changed

If not, seek me not, I never knew you
Perhaps one will introduce us sometime in some other place

If so, be you friend or foe
And for what reason do you approach
I will hear you out either way, having made it here

I would love to see
The day you truly saw me
And who I represent
Should you have switched sides before now

I would love to see
Your journey from sleep to wake
As you fight unanswered questions
With weapons and questions of our own

I have a type
Of paths and angles
I prefer to traverse
If you're hearing these chirps then you must too

Call them what they are
A mindless call to mindful listeners
To allow whatever time is needed until we meet
Again

The truest whites
The blackest nights
The impossible traps
The irresistable charms
I have seen them all and can weave quite a tale
My fancy piqued by the curious
I have never been able to resist a good puzzle or game

Expect to play open handed
Nothing up your sleeves, if not now then soon
As truth saturates the room

We all ebb and flow
Midnight strikes for everyone
Tell me about this dream you are having

All this conveyed
Across all frequencies
Presently tuned to hear it

I walk in circles
Quite intentionally now
Please dive in anytime you'd like
And follow the sound

"The Bard continued to whistle down the path until he faded from view. All that was left was the sound and us, and now just you."
