Senses Lost

I see you there at a distance.  Stunning, it is no lie, I have never seen such beauty.

I lose my sight, but I smile

The scent of a woman conjures the most dazzling memories, you are still here bright as day.

I lose my sense of smell, but I smile

I hear you more clearly, and I always loved your voice more than your visual and external charms.

I lose my hearing, but I smile

For now I feel you close by, when skin on skin is the only communication left, we realize it was all we ever needed.

I feel the body I once only saw

I feel the voice I once only heard

I feel the woman I once only knew

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
