Prayer For a Dream

Let me peel apart
Words and rythyms separate
I dive into you

Slip into the dream
I hope I am welcome here
It has been so long

I am still learning
How to arrange finding you
With consistency

Can you imagine
Nights beneath the blanket forts
When we can make plans

For now I encode
Setting parts of me on guard
For slightest patterns

For to remember
One must only forge pathways
To one's lover's room

I relax and pray
Feeling the Lord guiding me
Though obfuscation

Let the Spirit come
Bridging the spaces between
So our towns may merge

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
