To Meet and To Dream, A Proposal

Worlds collided
That warm February day
A (decade) ago

It just takes one touch
For the threads to unravel
And fast hands to stitch

One day I catch up
Like a garment in plain view
Woven overnight

The castle crumbles
And I throw you some armor
Did I look away?

I extend my hand
While tapping with the other
A simple message

Two and three for h
Three again to quip hello
A wink punctuates

We walk while talking
Years disappear in the wake
Expectations bloom

I open the box
It has a ring to it, yes?
Sixteen taps, I shrug
