Starlight

To all the lost stars
Shining brightly in the void
So they might be seen

You are always seen
And by some well understood
You seep into them

Some see you and know
They want that shine forever
Always on their minds

You can name them now
Why worry about the rest?
All the off angles

The sun shines on Earth
Here it provides light and life
A much welcome warmth

It shines on Venus
Heating gas to the extreme
We could not survive

Alpha Centauri
Sees the sun amidst the stars
Drop in the ocean

To some you shine bright
Perhaps even perfectly
Rest your focus there

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
