Reinforce the Gap

Let us strategize
On how to keep the thief out
Hole up for the night

She always robs us
And says nothing by the light
So frustrating

She toys with our hearts
Gaining comfort every night
Then leaves by morning

I've learned my lesson
This time I will toy with her
Reinforced defense

The guards at the gates
Have particular orders
To apprehend her

Should she slip by them
Then what defenses are left?
Only I know that

A counter attack
Uncharacteristically
Sneaky by nature

But she dare not come
No shrug or wink will save her
If she is caught here

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to?
