A Certain Certainty

There is benefit
To you owning the world
But not what is thought

Sure it would be nice
To repay debts in a sense
Those who have been there

To have fancy things
Or at least not need to choose
To beg or borrow

Really the upside
Is the lack of temptation
To be paranoid

What prince could offer
Something which you do not have?
That you could not buy?

What jet set joker
Could swoop in and steal your heart
Or even come close

It is far better
That I arrive with nothing
So no doubt remains

Then empower me
Prove money never mattered
A means to this end

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
