You Must Know By Now I'm Nonsense

Despite assurance
There are nights where I lose faith
And doubt all the signs

Not because of you
No, never because of you
Because I stumble

More like a face plant
Carried away in myself
And baser instincts

Confusion sets in
I know some are required
But where are the lines?

Your voice grows hazy
Is this real or fantasy?
Truth, I cannot tell

It can't all be real
We'd never be seen again
Raising sails high

I'm not complaining
But my bones shiver to think
If here I am wrong

I might be naive
But I have tricks up my sleeve
With your permission?
