Black Umbrella

Winter storms prevail
Despite sickening color
So I fade to black

The rain deflects off
My black umbrella's rooftop
Absorbing the sun

This land must reflect
For all those native to it
Consistent color

She has seen them all
Experiencing each Hue
All combinations

They don disguises
She seeks the unique as well
And they can seem it

So she looks beneath
The ceiling always shows true
Reflecting the mind

Somewhere she's lost hope
She's thinking of settling
Then lightning flashes

He has no cover
Darkest night lit by green eyes
Through the rain, she knows
