Silence
He searched for the words
But alas could not find them
Then nothing was heard
Should he be sleeping
Its calmness, overwhelming
Pulling him under
Should he be hiding
He could scream and not be found
The air has stiffened
If focus his goal
Distractions are all drowned out
The mind's sharpened edge
In silence is peace
An inner strength discovered
As they fall quiet
It's not unending
But can be conjured again
With but a whisper
Oh to be unheard
And unhearing for a spell
The soul is refreshed
"Playful reminder
Of paths both walked and unwalked
And those that must be"
But alas could not find them
Then nothing was heard
Should he be sleeping
Its calmness, overwhelming
Pulling him under
Should he be hiding
He could scream and not be found
The air has stiffened
If focus his goal
Distractions are all drowned out
The mind's sharpened edge
In silence is peace
An inner strength discovered
As they fall quiet
It's not unending
But can be conjured again
With but a whisper
Oh to be unheard
And unhearing for a spell
The soul is refreshed
"Playful reminder
Of paths both walked and unwalked
And those that must be"
