Phoenix Tossing

If time ran backward
What would we experience
After the ending

Preparing round two
By rewriting yesterdays
The new end in mind

You know you're at odds
With the other marching on
Plan accordingly

Forgive their mistakes
As to you they have been set
And experienced

This would be different
But it may be happening
For many perhaps

And it may happen
What can I do here and now
To know this for sure

The Phoenix tossing
As the man consults himself
Grasping at the truth

Life is a classroom
The journey back a rewrite
For the final test

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you. You hung him on the cross, you pierced him and left him there in your heart, never even thinking to repay the forgiveness he would ultimately offer.
