Tightrope Walk

For love or for show
This story includes this rope
And a daring man

Balance in the storm
Choosing words like life or death
The stakes are higher

Is the battle won?
Silence, but all signs say yes
Curious answer

So why no reply?
As the chasm maws below
Must be part of it

If I am willing
To sacrifice all I know
Then must it be done?

Only time will tell
As regeneration comes
As frightful as death

I don't want to change
If I'm leaving you behind
Lie in refusal

So I walk this line
As I steadily approach
The end of the line

Verdict

I have held this back for long enough. This wicked generation sickens me. This distasteful generation disgusts me. 1,000 generations promised, nonetheless, and so it will be. Did you know that one can build an image of Jesus so clearly in their mind that they will see an idol in his place and feel certain of their eternal fate? A cloned image, without the power of God. Perhaps considered fine, here on Earth, but what of on Judgement Day? How horrific would it be to find out that you have been lied to? How terrifying will it be to hear "I never knew you" in the silence, while you ask the lawyer by your side to proceed? Jesus is not coming for you.
