Something Like A Dream IV

I awake in a world of my own.  I know she must be somewhere, she always is, but this is intrinsically challenging, or at least is meant to be.  Unfortunately for the "challengers" they did not account for how aware I would be here.  I zoom out, like one playing a game, and send in my top gun, Deonis.   Deonis steps into the matrix like labyrinth.  He sets down his night vision goggles and the arena lights up like a Christmas tree.  Many of my opponents have leaned on stealth and sinister tricks for cover, and do not realize my plan.  He sees a few crowded at the first turn and pulls out a grenade of unique construction.  Pulling the pin, Deonis lobs it forward before ducking behind a wall, pulling out a standard and planting it in the ground before bracing for impact.  The explosion sends shockwaves through the entire plane, annihilating the most local foes and echoing back off each wall to the standard, each wave spawning a new instance and splitting the labyrinth as well as the enemy forces.  First, Charlie Valentine and party show up as ghostly visages- Grell, Shade, and the rest standing with them as always, armed to the teeth, as the enemies are forced to bottom or top.  The second echo summons Galadril, master seaman not known for his subtlety, the third Kal'Drel the Untouchable.  Dual splits of front and back labyrinths now fling some of the enemies into the nearest corridor who immediately get Shattered, compliments of Galadril, prompting Eldon and the others to portal to his side as waves of enemies begin their assault.  Kal'Drel casts Demiplane just in time, unleashing Parthon and a slough of Pals already prepped for this Armageddon sized battle.  Deonis, still soloing his section in relative silent darkness, and using the echoing grenade as cover begins shooting everyone entering his corridor, now panicked at the sudden turn the battle has taken, in the eye.  The standard gets struck once more from an uncanny angle as Minoas steps off the rainbow staircase with Arin.  He smiles coyly as she snaps her fingers and an unnamed Master of Magics steps off as well, in addition to Erik (in the flesh for some reason) now drawing multiple allies into existence all around where they stand.  The fabric of the arena begins to shift as well, altering the landscape significantly.  That's when Zenyata arrives and states "The time for fighting fair has ended."  And just like that everyone began healing in their respective realms simultaneously, as a portal forms behind him, and Orisa, Bastion, and his squad popped out as well.  Then everyone freezes in time as The Bard walks off the staircase as well "Sorry I've been otherwise engaged for so long ladies and gentlemen, what's the game?"  Shocked expressions are shot at him from both sides as no one had ever seen him in person.  "I brought some additional friends, I hope we have room for all of them."  With a smirk and snap of the fingers Lassiter, Zebedeo, Ferax, and Krom step out from the shadows, as do the Misfit Circus, accompanied by a Dragonborn Paladin exuding a menacing aura and a Psion made of crystals floating along in an armchair.  The Bard's voice echoes once more "Isn't this supposed to be our home turf?  Time to level the playing field."  Taking hold of Deonis' standard he tilts it to the side as it now perfectly aligns from the perspective of each individual party, as the enemies take on new forms to match their strengths, each group now playing their own games versus what was clearly a legion of NPCs.  The slaughter began indiscriminately, as such a diverse and cohesive force had never been amassed anywhere like it in this space.  I finally step into the living room centered in the labyrinth, now backlit by a cozy fire.  The Bard and I both chime in together "We need some music."  Then Rock Band appeared right there, already set up.  That's when she finally arrives; with a courtesy knock she flings open the door.  We were, in fact, back in The Basement, all the pieces in place.  I laugh aloud "Well if that was all I had to do to get you to show up on cue, I'll have to write all this down."

"We're gonna go watch the movie, leave you two to it down here."  I turn to notice all of my closest friends had appeared behind us.  "Maybe we'll meet up in the hot tub later tonight?"  We all nod as the battle rages above and we rage on the drums and mic below.
"My Muse, I think we've outdone ourselves this time."
