Dawn's Light

A single day shone
The sun finally showing up
Like it always had

Why I had doubted
This, her, or any of it
Flew like a bad dream

Fear had flown as well
Storms approaching never came
Never enough time

I'd listen all day
And share my insights all night
Lay by the fire

A simpler time
With purer motives and hearts
Untainted by life

At the crack of dawn
We reimagine the world
Changing a few things

This time is different
Not just the idea of
Materially

Memories collapse
But their traces not erased
A grand homecoming
