A Wild Ride

Fast car in mountains
Tall rocks littering the road
Navigating turns

It works for a ways
Then a hairpin flips my car
"Oh man." I exclaim

I am by a cliff
There have been cliffs the whole way
Seen at breakneck speed

Before I can leave
A speeding car knocks mine off
And I'm free falling

Knocked free from the car
I embrace the endless fall
Feeling gravity

Experiencing
The last moments before death
One that does not come

Instead I just stop
Apparently I've landed
Without realizing

So I stand, arisen
I proceed with the story
All new, but the same
