What is love?

In time immemorial, in the space between heartbeats, the cave was shaped.

The shape of the cave was given a name, a name known but that could not be expressed, for it was the shape of all.

God fashioned the cave into a form that could be understood, and would be further shaped to understand.

In this way, an other was formed, known to be separate, despite all knowledge and power retained. This other was as familiar as God was to themselves, and as foreign as the void, for they were born of the shape of each.

In the silence that remained a question was added: "What is love?"

The equation began to answer the question; the equation continues, and will continue evermore. This question, however, echoes in this eternal space, between those who can hear it in the silence.
