John 3:17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

I think people assume that in the saving something tangible must be done by those saved, it just feels natural, logical, from a human perspective. But if we are like frightened, perhaps unconscious, children, what help could we even hope to provide?

On the flipside of this coin, if God did something in order to acheive a result, what could man possibly do to thwart that result? So often those believing in God consider him unthwartable, except in this case and cases like it, but I would ask what makes saving the world so different than raising the dead, healing the sick, flooding the planet, calling down fire from heaven? Would you put yourself in the position of the one who would stop God from doing any of these things? Do you think those that would oppose God capable of stopping God from doing any of these things?

There is something amazing beyond belief coming.
